Tessera Garden is currently comprised of Ricky Kennedy with the support of his loving wife. We started growing produce to sell in the local Kansas City, MO community in 2024 on part of our 2 acre yard. We grow a diversity of fruits and vegetables in the intensively managed garden.

We follow no-till, organic, regenerative, and agroecological farming methods/philosophies. We believe in promoting the health of soil and plant life, which means we disturb the soil as minimally as possible, add Organic approved fertility with micronutrients and inoculated with diverse microbial life, and never apply pesticides or herbicides.

The name of our farm is inspired by the term for each tile–tessera–that an artist uses to compose a beautiful mosaic. In the same way, we hope our “tiles” help you create delicious masterpieces.
